About PICO PICO

PICO PICO is a premium pickleball apparel brand founded by husband-and-wife team Francis and his partner, Linda. Combining backgrounds in technology and fashion, the duo launched the brand to bring elevated style and performance apparel to one of the fastest-growing sports in the world.

While Francis focuses on the business, technology, and operational side of the company, Linda leads product design. 

The idea for PICO PICO began with a simple moment: getting ready to play pickleball and realizing there were limited options that combined performance, comfort, and modern design.

We wanted to bring fashion to the pickleball community. The goal was to create modern, high-end apparel that performs on the court but still feels stylish enough to wear off the court.

The brand works closely with both amateur and professional pickleball players during product development, incorporating their feedback to refine designs and ensure the pieces perform well during play.

Their Challenge

Like many early-stage direct-to-consumer brands, PICO PICO initially handled fulfillment themselves.

While manageable for small volumes, manual fulfillment quickly became time-consuming and inefficient. As the founders focused on developing new products and building the brand, they realized fulfillment needed to be handled by a reliable partner.

At the same time, shipping and packaging were a critical part of the customer experience.

PICO PICO positions itself as a premium brand, meaning that every order needed to reflect the quality of the product, from packaging materials to presentation.

This proximity helped simplify early operations while giving the founders confidence that their products were handled with care.

For PICO PICO, packaging plays an important role in reinforcing the brand’s premium positioning.

Each order includes branded packaging elements designed to create a thoughtful and polished unboxing experience. This includes custom tissue paper, branded stickers, and high-quality shipping boxes.

The brand also incorporates eco-conscious materials, including specialized water-activated kraft tape.

To ensure every order is packed correctly, the team worked with the warehouse to document their packaging requirements and provide clear instructions.

Customers have responded positively to the presentation, reinforcing the importance of thoughtful fulfillment for premium products.

Results & Impact

PICO PICO is still in its early stages, but the founders are focused on building a strong community within the pickleball space.

Over the next 6–12 months, the founders plan to continue growing the brand through community events and in-person activations in Los Angeles.

Looking further ahead, the team is also exploring international expansion, particularly in Asian markets where pickleball is rapidly growing in popularity.
