Hongkong Post announced that all airmail services, including Speedpost, to Australia, Canada, Mexico, and the United States will be experiencing delays until further notice.

Due to container shortages and other global supply chain disruptions, customers can expect delayed delivery lead times.

Below is a chart showing the extra time required for shipments.

Air Mail Shipments

Shipments shipped via air are experiencing delays anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks. Here’s the breakdown of the countries affected.

Destination Extra Time
Asia 2 weeks for Mainland China, 1 week for Singapore
Europe 2 weeks for the UK, 4 weeks for Switzerland, and 3 weeks for most other destinations
North America 2 weeks for the US and Canada
Australia 1 week

Ocean Shipments

Shipments shipped via ocean freight are experiencing delays anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks. Here’s the breakdown of the countries affected.

Destination Extra Time
Asia 2 weeks for Mainland China, 3 weeks for Japan, 1 week for Taiwan
Europe 2 weeks for the UK, 2 weeks for the Netherlands, and 1 week for France
North America 1 week for the US and 2 weeks for Canada
Australia 3 weeks
