eCommerce businesses who partner with UPS are bound to easily find a UPS store near them, as UPS maintains thousands of locations around the United States and Canada.

The availability of these locations give small business owners more flexibility, as UPS stores, UPS drop box locations, and additional retail options provide access to later pickup times and other service opportunities.

Here are the different UPS locations that are available, the types of services they offer, and how to find them.

UPS Location Types

1. The UPS Store

The UPS Store is UPS’ retail outlet that offers a variety of postal, express shipping, printing, and other small business services. These outlets can be found within the US, Puerto Rico, and Canada.

2. UPS Drop Box

UPS has over 38,000 drop box locations throughout the US. At these drop boxes, you can leave parcels that are being sent both domestically and internationally with any UPS shipping service.

Drop boxes are always open. UPS pickup times are normally later for these locations, and you can even access proper shipping supplies to prepare your shipment correctly.

3. UPS Lockers

UPS lockers (officially named “UPS Access Points”) can be found at local businesses that UPS partners with. While they are mainly used for deliveries, they also accept outgoing packages with pre-paid UPS labels.

4. UPS Distribution Centers

Referred to as “UPS Customer Centers”, these UPS service centers are operating facilities that can also assist with your domestic or international shipping needs.

You can purchase packaging supplies and access all UPS service levels. Additionally, they provide the tools needed to automatically generate labels, verify your delivery addresses, and save frequently shipped destinations for faster processing.
