Custom Pickup Instructions Now Live for Australia
Shipping from Australia? We are excited to announce that Aussie shippers of all sizes can now provide informative pickup instructions to Sendle & Fastway drivers. When creating shipments, you can now:
- Add and customize specific pick-up instructions up to 15 characters
- Choose from a list of frequently used instructions
- Create and save default pickup instructions for specific addresses
With this continent’s vast distances and low population density, pick-up reliability can be notoriously low. Giving the driver precise pick-up instructions can effectively reduce the probability of missed pickups. Allowing you to ship comfortably from home while reducing lead times and boosting on-time-delivery rates for your online store.
Check Why Couriers Are Unavailable
Can’t find a particular courier solution for your online store? Now you can get the same information as the Easyship Customer Support team, direct from the source. Without any need to reach out to our award-winning team!
This new feature update is available at the bottom of the courier section of the shipment panel and can be found under Create Shipments (Advanced). To find out why you can’t proceed with certain couriers, just simply click on; “Show all unavailable options”. As demonstrated above.
New Subscription Plan
We recently introduced a new subscription plan: Scale.
The Scale plan is a new, flexible model which can be adjusted to suit your specific needs. You can ship up to 10,000 shipments per month, add up to 12 team members, and link up to 3 of your own courier accounts. You will also be appointed your own Customer Success Manager.
New Feature: Mobile App Billing on the Go
You can now monitor your transactions from the Easyship app, wherever you are. So if you’re out and about and a transaction occurs, then you will know about it instantly. You can also filter transactions based on their type as well as the date to find what you’re looking for as fast as possible.
This feature is available on iOS and Android v1.20 or above.
New Integration - Australia Post MyPost Business
Great news for small business owners in Australia. We have now integrated with Australia Post My Post Business so business owners can make the most of using Easyship’s features while having their MyPost Business account connected as their courier of choice.

Introducing Advanced Customs Declaration
Our team has been working hard behind the scenes to introduce an Advanced Customs Declaration feature to help your business go global. We now give you access to the full HS codes database right from your dashboard. You can also update the Country of Origin, as well as battery and liquid declarations for your products to make the international shipping process run smoothly.

Create USPS Labels Faster Than Ever
When purchasing a USPS label, we have implemented a new logic to automatically allocate weight in items. This will save you time when it comes to creating your shipping labels.
Save Time When Contacting Support
If you need to contact us, you no longer need to fill in your user information as we’ve done the hard work for you. Information will now be prefilled when you open up a chat with us through Zendesk so we can get straight to it.
Stay in the Know Regarding Your Subscriptions
It’s easy to lose track of your subscriptions. So to keep you updated, when a subscription has failed or been charged then we will send you an email to let you know. The owner of the company is now the only person allowed to update subscriptions.
Squarespace & WooCommerce Integration
We are pleased to announce that we now support Auto-split based on SKU for shipments for Squarespace and WooCommerce. This means you can split your shipments to suit your needs if required. Previously this was only possible with Shopify.
When you create an API key, you can now tell us what platform you are connecting to for an easy setup.
Easier Access to Buyer's Notes
If you enabled your buyers to leave a note for you while they complete their purchase at the checkout page, these buyer notes are synced from your store to Easyship. We now facilitated your access to the buyer notes. For shipments with buyer notes synced from the store, you will now see an icon on your Shipments Table to spot them without having to open the shipment detail. Simply hover your mouse over and a small textbox with the buyers note inside will appear.
Detailed Oversight On All Surcharges
You can now see all the Custom Surcharges (such as Covid Surcharge or a Peak Surcharge) in the Shipment export, so that you can have a complete detailed overview and benefit from full transparency on the rate breakdown.
Know Your Products in Each Fulfillment Center
You can now filter your products by pick location and will be able to find your products more easily. If you have a large fulfillment center, this feature is particularly useful so you know the product in each location. Whether you're on the free or paid plan, you can start using the Pick location filter in Create and Manage shipments page.
Easyship Global Accounts
Easyship is proud to introduce the Easyship Global Accounts. This new feature allows merchants to create addresses from multiple countries within the same Easyship account.
Users will get access to the courier assortment corresponding to the country where they have addresses created, making it easier to ship from multiple countries. Some other key features include the following:
- Instant access to high-volume shipping discounts up to 91% off
- Ability to consolidate global shipping from a single tool
- Create addresses from multiple countries within the same Easyship account

Advanced Page Shipment Panel
The Advanced Shipment Panel is now live for all users and is no longer in Beta testing! This feature is accessible to all users – both free and paid.
This update makes the experience of viewing and editing shipments easier, especially for bulk shippers.
USPS Shipping Calculator
Easyship users can now exclusively calculate USPS rates for all domestic and international shipments. This update makes it easier for users who prefer to ship with USPS through Easyship.

Automatic Tracking Update Emails for Certain Shipment Statuses
Users can now send automated tracking emails to the recipients at certain milestones and checkpoints of a shipment's journey.
Now, users can send a tracking update when the shipment is any of:
- In Transit
- Out for Delivery
- Unsuccessful Delivery Attempt
The best bit is, you have the choice of which milestones to send updates to your customers for. This level of control of your tracking is simply not available from most shipping tools.

Users now have an easier time finding the specific solutions to their problems with our new and improved website navigation.
Generate Return Labels at Time of Shipment Generation, Only Pay When They're Used
Domestic shippers in the US can now add return labels to outbound shipments for free and only pay for the return label if it's used. This is a huge step toward reducing the friction around returns both for customers and businesses.

Our shippers can now insure shipments up to $10,000, raised from $5,000. Additionally, we now cover items like computers, laptops, mobile phones, tablets, and other expensive electronics.
The New Insurance Claims Portal is Live!
Filing insurance claims for shipments now takes just a couple of minutes. Our new claims portal lets buyers file in record-fast time for a streamlined customer experience. Merchants can file right in their Easyship dashboard for maximum convenience.
Insurance at Checkout is Live for All Shopify stores
Insurance at Checkout is a new free cart plugin that boosts conversions for Shopify merchants. Shoppers are wary of unfamiliar merchants, and this lack of trust thwarts sales.
With Insurance at Checkout, buyers get the peace of mind they need to purchase. Shopify carts now display the option to add third-party insurance from Easyship, reassuring shoppers with full package protection in the case of any loss, damage, theft, or merchant mishap. Insurance at Checkout works because confidence drives conversions.
Link Your Own Account with Canada Post
Easyship lets merchants use their own pre-negotiated rates as a complement to our discounted rates. Canada Post shippers can now link their own rates in their shipping dashboard to save more on every shipment.
Unlimited Tags Now Available in Revamped Shipping Rules

Return Labels are Now Live with USPS Shipments
Merchants can now generate a pre-paid return label automatically with all USPS shipments. This simplifies the returns process for customers, and helps merchants to provide a streamlined post-purchase experience.
New Feature for Crowdfunding: Easyship Collect
Easyship Collect is a new email survey tool that allows backers to upgrade their shipping, prepay duty, and tax, plus add insurance. It's the only shipping tool for crowdfunding, and it offers much-needed flexibility to campaign managers.
Backers pay for all upgrades while campaigns are charged a 5% processing fee on upgrades purchased. Finally, backers can get the premium shipping experience they expect in the eCommerce age.

Now You Can Ship from Multiple Addresses
These days, an eCommerce business is often run from multiple locations. You need to be able to ship from each of those locations, and sometimes from multiple locations for a large shipment. In this new release, we're happy to solve this problem for you. On the Ship From section, you can easily choose between multiple locations that you have stored on your account, or have used for past shipments. If it's a new address, you can easily save it for future use when setting up the shipment.

Now you can check the status of the Easyship API directly from our new status page, and you can even sign up for notifications.
New Feature: Bulk Edit Shipments
We know streamlining your shipping process is important, and for many merchants, that means working with bulk orders and shipments. With our new bulk edit feature, we've made it easy for you to now edit a single Shipment property for as many shipments as you want, without limitation. We know this will speed up the process for many of you, saving you time to focus on selling more products to your customers. To learn more about the feature, head over to our help center article.
Shipping Documents Preview and Print
In the past, you were required to download documents into a Zip file before you were able to print them. With this new feature, we've made it simple for you to preview and print directly from the Easyship dashboard. When you select a label, and then Generate All Documents, they will be included in a new printing queue. You have the option to print the documents or if you prefer, download them as a PDF. In the settings, you can go to Printing Options to change the dimensions of the document if you need to as well. This new feature is available only for NEW batches of documents that are generated. Old documents will continue to only have the Download option available.
New Feature: Tax ID Field to Streamline Compliance
Several countries including Brazil and South Korea now require a Tax ID displayed on the shipping label for imports. In our latest update, we've added a new Tax ID field to make sure you have it clearly filled out when it's required. We also sync up with partners like Shopify to make sure the information matches. It's important to us that we're transparent with you about how we use your personal data and protect your privacy. We've outlined our GDPR policy and EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework for you to review, as well as share why privacy and data protection are important for eCommerce. New Address Book Feature
Now you can easily find previously used addresses when creating a shipment. This feature will help you save time when shipping to those repeat customers. Once you start typing, we'll show up to 10 possibilities so you can quickly autofill. The option is available for these fields:
- Receiver Name
- Company Name
- Contact Number
If you don't want to use the feature, it can be disabled in the settings. To learn more, visit our Help Center article.
New Feature: Pickup Fees
Some couriers that we work with charge a separate fee to customers for a pickup. This might be due to the location of the residence or business or for other reasons. With this update, you as merchants, now have the option to pass this fee on to your customers. By default, the setting is for all pickup fees to be charged to the customer but this can be changed in your settings. This feature is currently available for customers in the United States, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Canada Import Tax Changes
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has released the Import Tax Changes from the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement.
According to the release, under the trade agreement, Canada has agreed to maintain a de minimis threshold of at least $150* for customs duties and $40 for taxes at the time or point of importation of goods shipped by courier from the United States or Mexico. There are otherwise no changes to Canada’s existing de minimis framework.
Accordingly, postal shipments from the United States or Mexico, as well as any courier or postal shipments from any other country, will continue to have a customs duty and tax remission threshold value of up to $20. The new thresholds will apply as of the date the trade agreement enters into force (July 1, 2020).

The new Manage Pickups page allows you to easily check the status of a group of shipments by a particular courier so you can quickly know the status, and if necessary make changes. If you encounter problems, you can now easily take direct action to request support from many of the couriers in our network to make sure any issues are properly addressed.

This new partnership allows business owners to streamline their shipping automation, and reduce the amount of time they spend on manual tasks. Our goal is to make Easyship accessible to SMBs regardless of the tools they use, so they can gain access to our discounted shipping rates and global scalability.
Saved Views for Speedier Shipment Management
We’ve introduced a new feature for the dashboard, Saved Views, which allows you to easily save your filters from the Advanced and Manage shipments pages, saving you from entering the filter criteria each time.
New International Shipping Solutions in Europe
- In France, we’ve added couriers Colissimo and Chronopost and services from UPS and DHL Express.
- In Germany, customers now have access to UPS Standard and Express Saver as well as DHL Express services
- Customers in Italy can now ship through Poste Italiane, UPS Standard, FedEx International
- In the Netherlands, customers can ship internationally with PostNL and FedEx International.

New Notification Center is Now Live for Everyone
The notification Center will provide regular updates through the shipment creation process. These were previously only sent by email; now, you can still receive the emails, but you’ll also see the alerts in the top left of your Easyship account when you log in!
Improved Country Grouping for Shipping Rules
Easyship merchants now have more control over creating country-based shipping rules on the platform. Before, adding a shipping rule that applied to multiple countries was cumbersome and time-consuming.
Save on Shipping with our Flat Export Rates
To help you access more affordable international shipping, we consolidated several shipping solutions to offer you one discounted service. Easyship’s Flat Export Rates are based on your parcel’s weight, so you’ll never pay more than you should.

New International Shipping Solutions
- Easyship users in Australia can now use TNT international services to send parcels around the world!
- Also in Australia, our eFulfillment clients now have access to DHL’s eCommerce services. Most people are shopping online these days, so if you’re an online merchant in Australia, these services will be a big help for keeping up with your orders.
Experience Greater Usability with Product Listings
This month, we’ve made further changes to the way you create product listings so that it’s more intuitive and gives you more clarity over managing multiple stores. The improved product listing process involves a clearer workflow that is more user-friendly and instructional. Users can now see exactly which store they’re adding products to.
A New Way of Entering Shipment Sizing for Rate Calculations
Size matters when it comes to calculating shipping rates. That’s why, to make things easier for everyone, we’ve changed the way you can enter details when creating shipments.
This means that shipping rates will be calculated slightly differently now. Here’s what’s going to happen.
- The Easyship system will now automatically calculate box size (and shipping rates) based on the information you’ve previously provided in the product listing section.
- This means, if you want to edit product size and dimensions for a shipment, you’ll have to do this beforehand in the product listing editor.
- If there is no appropriate product listing in your account, the system will use the box size you enter in the shipment creator to calculate your shipping rate.
- If you don’t enter a box size, the rates will be calculated using deadweight only. This may result in rate adjustments later, so we recommend that you provide accurate box sizes when creating your shipments.
New International Shipping Solutions
- Canpar Express is now live on Easyship! Canadian clients can now use the Ontario-based courier for a range of domestic and international services through their dashboard. This includes Canada-wide ground, express, 10AM, and noon services, along with cost-effective international deliveries to 215 countries.
- In Australia, our merchants can now access FedEx International Economy (2-4 days for Asia; 3 days for US; 3-4 days for Europe) and FedEx International Priority (1-3 days for delivery) services through their account.
Squarespace x Easyship Integration is Live
We gave you a sneak peek last month, but we’re excited to announce that our integration with Squarespace is now live! Now, Squarespace merchants can easily integrate the Easyship extension with their store and get access to the full range of Easyship tools to simplify their shipping process. Plus, sellers can now sync directly to Easyship and update tracking with just a few clicks.
Take Control of Your Shipping Insurance
Previously, insurance was calculated as a percentage of the total value of a shipment (that’s the shipping cost plus the product value). And, if things went wrong, the sender would receive a 100% refund of the total cost. However, it became clear to us that many of you wanted lower insurance fees and more flexibility in what was covered. That’s why you can now decide the way your insurance is calculated.
Now, you can choose from three methods of insurance calculation:
- Insure just the selling price of the item.
- Choose a percentage of the selling price as insurance.
- Set your own price as the insurance value.
Managing Product Listings Through Your Easyship Dashboard Just Got Easier
We’ve revamped the way our product listings work so that they’re more intuitive - and much easier for you to manage. Before, updating values such as product weight and dimensions was a bit of a task. You had to upload a CSV file. It also could only be done through direct integrations. Now though, you can edit values directly in the Easyship dashboard using a bulk editor. The result? It’s much faster and easier for you to change details on your product listings.
New International Shipping Options
- Australian clients can now use CouriersPlease! The well-known courier is great for express deliveries in Australia and also offers signature-on-delivery or authority to leave (no signature required) services.
- Hong Kong fulfillment clients will now be able to use FedEx First for international shipments. This is FedEx’s fastest service and offers delivery as early as 8 am on the next business day in certain locations.
- Our merchants in the UK now have access to affordable international shipping with UPS’s Worldwide Saver service, which offers delivery within 1-5 business days.
Give Your Customers More Options for Paying Taxes
As well as showing options to pay on delivery, you can allow your customers to see options to prepay taxes and duties straight away. The best part is that Easyship users can now set up these checkout options through automated shipping rules on our platform!
New International Shipping Solutions
- Hong Kong-based eFulfillment clients can now use DHL eCommerce Parcel Direct Expedited to reach customers in India and Thailand.
- DHL eCommerce Packet Plus International is now available to Hong Kong eFulfillment clients to reach 41 countries across the globe.
- Australian Cloud and eFulfillment clients can now use UPS Worldwide Shipping to ship directly to 39 major destinations.

Easyship is now able to provide prepaid coverage to avoid any post-delivery residential surcharges - added fees some couriers include to shipments delivered to residential addresses.
This also means the cost of this coverage can be included in the shipping costs to the parcel recipient when using Easyship Rates at Checkout.
The residential address identifier can be used in a number of different ways.
If manually creating a shipment from the U.S. or Canada, Easyship’s residential address identifier will confirm if the address is residential or not. If the address is determined to be non-residential, there will be no charge or adjustment to the shipment.
If the intended destination isn’t marked as residential, but the residential address identifier confirms it is indeed a residential address, a notification will be displayed to highlight this.
For the rest of the world when shipping manually, the residential surcharge will be added to the shipment at a discounted price if the user marked the address as residential.
If the address isn’t marked as residential, no added surcharges will be included. However, an adjustment may be added by the courier after delivery if the shipment is deemed to be sent to a residential address.
The residential address identifier also works with shipping rules and automation.
Users are now able to add a shipping rule regarding residential surcharges. Provided that residential address fees are always included, you’ll never receive any adjustment for shipments post-delivery for residential surcharges.

USPS Flat Rates
Easyship now offers USPS Flat Rate shipping solutions!
To activate this new option, simply sync all of your item dimensions in the Products function, go to the Boxes section of your dashboard and enable the “Auto” feature where you see any flat rate box options to allow the Easyship algorithm to automatically apply the best available box for you, depending on the cost of shipping.

CSV Files for Shopcada and Shopee Merchants
Easyship now allows merchants using Shopcada and Shopee to upload their orders using CSV files. This makes uploading orders on both eCommerce platforms much simpler and more convenient for users, letting them run their businesses more seamlessly and efficiently.
Advanced Free Shipping Configuration
This great new update allows Easyship checkout feature users to configure settings to reward their customers in specific countries for spending a certain amount. It can easily be configured in the Checkout setting of your store so you can provide discounted or even free rates based on spending for customers on a more specific country-by-country basis. In addition, you can now create as many shipping configurations for this as you want, as opposed to just one before.
The new feature displays in your checkout with the discounted rates applied. It’s also very flexible and can easily be configured by minimum spend, maximum discount applied, and destination country of shipment.
New Billing Page
We’ve also overhauled our billing page so you can now easily see your billing by transactions, invoices, credit notes, and receipts. Within these, you can now also filter depending on your needs, allowing you to quickly export relevant data into your accounting and ERP software with just a few simple clicks!
